Beddington Heights Homes For Sale

Beddington Heights is a residential community which was established in the mid 1970's. Named after the city of Beddington in Surrey, England, the community lies north of Beddington Blvd and is split by Center Street North. This gives it the unique destinction of having part of the community in the northeast and northwest quadrants. It was once a Canadian Pacific Railway station.

 

The community is mostly made of single family homes with some multi-unit condos. The area has six public schools and three Catholic schools and a high school which belongs to the public system. Students who attend the Catholic high school commute just south of Nose Hill Park. 

More About Beddington Heights Homes

 

There are a number of plazas to shop in along 64th Ave and Centre St. The main shopping center is Beddington Town Centre which has a variety of salons, banks and grocery shopping at Safeway. Deerfoot Mall is also a short drive away and that outlet mall is located on 64th Ave NE and Deerfoot Trail.  The airport is also in close proximity to Beddington Heights. The northend of the community has a gentle northeast-facing slope which provides great views of the airport.

 

Nose Hill park lies to the west of the community and Confluence Park to the northeast.  Nose Hill park is mainly and unspoiled prairie like landscape which has the exclusive Calgary Winter Club at the south end. Confluence Park which is north of Beddington trail will see some major changes in the upcoming years. The community also has a number of smaller parks which are part of the Nose Hill recreational pathways systems that inter link.
