Garrison Green Community Info

Garrison Woods is a relatively new community that can be found in the south-western quadrant of the city of Calgary. Usually clumped together with the neighboring communities of Altadore, South Calgary and CFB Calgary, Garrison Woods is actually a community in its own right. It was established in 1998 and is bordered by the Crowchild Trail to the west, 50th Avenue to the south, 14th Street to the east and 33rd Avenue to the north. The community has a very vibrant association and is represented in the Calgary City Council by Ward 11.

 

New residents that have purchased any of the Garrison Woods homes for sale will find that there are plenty of recreational activities to enjoy. The community association has its own building which has amenities such as a commercial kitchen, meeting rooms, a sound system, a stage, an outdoor BBQ area, beach volleyball courts and an outdoor swimming pool.
