New Brighton Homes For Sale

The community of New Brighton is a relatively modern one compared to most of the communities to be found in the SE district of Calgary. Many of the New Brighton homes were mainly developed by Carma and were built in or after 2003, with development still in progress. The community is bounded by 52nd Street SE to the west, McIvor Boulevard to the south and the 130 Avenue SE future extension to the north. The community was represented by Ward 12 of the Calgary City Council until April 2010, when they now have their own official association.

 

New Brighton has a multitude of social, recreational and educational facilities available for residents to use. The community has the New Brighton Club which contains a water park, tennis courts, meeting rooms, a hockey rink and studios to hold a variety of activities. The association organizes many activities and programs including junior soccer, Senior Programs, baseball, a running club and a community book club. Children can attend several great schools in neighboring communities such as Canyon Meadows and McKenzie Lake. The residents are currently campaigning to have their own schools built within the boundaries of the community.
