North Glenmore Park Community Info

The community of North Glenmore Park is one of the historical and well established communities to be found in Southwest Calgary. The area was first used as a quarry, most of the stone from it being used to build the houses in the city in the early years. The neighborhood of North Glenmore Park was developed in 1959 and is bordered by the Glenmore Reservoir to the south, Richmond Road to the west, 19th Street SW to the east and 50th Avenue SW to the north. North Glenmore Park has a very vibrant community association and is represented in the Calgary City Council by Ward 11.

 

One of the biggest advantages of buying any of the wonderful North Glenmore Park homes for sale is their proximity to some of the biggest recreational areas in the city. The neighborhood is within easy reach of the Glenmore Reservoir and the Glenmore Dam, as well as the Weaselhead Flat Hiking Trails and Heritage Park.
