Rosscarrock Community Info

 

The community of Rosscarrock is one of the outer suburbs that can be found in the Southwest quadrant of Calgary. The neighborhood was developed in 1954 and has a designated R2 status which means that property development is at a low density level, keeping the community close-knit and very green. Rosscarrock is bordered by the Bow Trail to the north, 33rd Street to the east, 45th Street to the west and 17th Avenue to the south. The neighborhood has an active community association and it is represented in the Calgary City Council by Ward 6.

 

Residents will immediately find that the community has several great features. Firstly, it is ideally located for quick access to the Downtown areas of the city vie the Bow Trail to the north which is great for those who have to commute for work. Shopping opportunities also exist within the community thanks to the Westbrook Mall. Community residents can also take advantage of wide open, green spaces and close proximity to popular recreational areas such as the Douglas Fir Trail, Edworthy Park and Shaganappi Point Golf Course. The community association has its own building which has amenities including meeting rooms, a standard kitchen, a stage and an outdoor skating rink.
